Getarctic was born from a simple idea: you don’t need to own everything to experience more.

Outdoor hobbies often lead to accumulating a lot of expensive gear, even if some of it is only needed for a few trips a year. We want to offer an alternative. At Getarctic, you can rent high-quality equipment to try a new sport, for a single trip, or for a longer adventure – without needing to buy it all for yourself.

Gear we would use ourselves.

We are multi-sport enthusiasts who spend time in nature ourselves. We select high-quality gear known for its performance from manufacturers we trust for our rental fleet.

Our selection ranges from freeriding, splitboarding, and winter trekking to packrafting, paddling, fishing, camping – and much more.

Our goal isn't just to rent you gear. We want to help you find the right equipment for whatever you’re planning to do.

From your first try to trips for experienced enthusiasts.

You don't need to be an experienced hiker or athlete to rent from us. Renting is an easy way to try out things like skin-based skis, a splitboard, or a packraft for the first time using top-tier equipment.

For the experienced enthusiast, renting allows for testing different gear; sometimes your own all-round splitboard isn't suitable for every location and condition – or perhaps you’re progressing in your sport and demanding more from your equipment.

And if you fall in love with a product you’ve rented, ask about the possibility of purchasing it. We will credit 50% of the rent you paid toward a purchase agreed upon on a case-by-case basis.

Local in Rovaniemi – gear for all of Finland.

Getarctic is an outdoor company based in Rovaniemi, but you don't need to come to Rovaniemi to rent from us.

In Rovaniemi, you can pick up gear flexibly from our 24/7 self-service pickup point, our city center pickup point, or have it delivered to your accommodation. Within Finland, we can also ship rental gear via Matkahuolto to a pickup point of your choice.

This way, the gear can join you on a weekend trip from Rovaniemi, or on a hiking, fishing, or freeriding trip to the Finnish, Swedish, or Norwegian Lapland – not to mention the Alps or the powder in Japan.
