Packraft — what is it all about?
A packraft is essentially a lightweight inflatable kayak that you can take with you on an excursion, either strapped to your backpack, inside it, or easily carried by hand. Depending on the model, it weighs about 3–6 kg and takes up roughly the same amount of space as a tent when packed. A packraft offers a chance to enjoy nature from a whole new perspective, as it is versatile: you can discover new hiking routes, plan fishing or hunting trips to hard-to-reach places, or simply relax by the nearest body of water at the end of the day.
A packraft inflates quickly using an inflation bag, or even faster with a handy battery-powered Flextailgear camping pump. However, you will still need a few strong breaths to get it fully firm.
Packrafts are durable, stable enough for beginners, and capable of carrying a significant amount of weight. For example, you can bring along your backpack, a dog, or even a fatbike.
