The story of Get Arctic dates back to the garage of an avid outdoor enthusiast who moved to Rovaniemi in 2017. Freeriding, campervan trips with the family, hiking, water sports... all these activities inspired Juho to explore the northern nature year-round.

His collection of outdoor gear began to grow, and with it, his concerns regarding the amount of gear and the perspective of sustainability intensified:

"In the end, gear is used for a few weeks a year; otherwise, it just sits in storage. I wanted to find a way to make it possible for other keen outdoor enthusiasts to test gear if they want to try new sports with high-quality equipment. This way, one wouldn't necessarily have to buy everything for themselves, or at least they would have the chance to try out the gear properly before making a purchasing decision,", sums up Juho.

The company Get Arctic was founded in 2020 to provide full-service equipment rentals to both residents and visitors of the North. Together with his team, Juho established an online store and a collection point in Rovaniemi, through which one can easily rent everything needed for moving through the fells in Finnish, Norwegian, and Swedish Lapland.

In northern nature all year round

The nature of Lapland is a great place to be! In summer, moving on the water by kayak, canoe, SUP board, or even on a surfboard, brings versatility to enjoying nature.
